A large, bright and open plan single level home new-build designed for a retiring couple with ample room for grandchildren and simple functional living. A focus was put on re-using some of the old materials and the reduced setback of the old existing house between front and rear garages.
Warm in winter, cool in summer, bright and uplifting all year round, passive solar principles were used to collect the sun for winter warmth and shade from the harsh summer sun.
The house features large practical and flexible flow through indoor/outdoor living spaces.
